JQuery MsgAlert

I am currently using the jquery Msg Alert, which can be seen in action at http://carvalhar.com/componente/jQueryMsgAlert/index.html, for an Umbraco package I’m working on.

Looking at the documentation on the above mentioned website, it merely says

The usage is very simple:
$('.alert-content').MsgAlert({closeTime: 6000});

It is indeed that simple but in the download files provided there are extra unneeded files. Hence, these are the javascript files required:

  • jquery-1.4.2.min.js
  • jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js
  • jquery.timers-1.2.js
  • msgalert.jquery.js

In terms of css files, you will need the contents of the “ui-lightness” folder. Ensure that “jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.css” is at the same level as the images folder.

That’s basically all you need to get the functionality going.
